I think you've captured a good feel of the 50's, especially with your choice of colours. I think maybe you could have a done a bit more preparatory work on the objects to improve the drawing, especially the television as the perspective needs a little work. Possibly if the window had been the light source, the shadows cast by the child and the furniture would have 'grounded' them more. Overall though I think it would give a teenager a feel of the 50's. What do you think?
